A man is dead from a crash on Friday on Interstate 40 in Johnston County and a 17-year-old will be charged.
According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, the crash happened just before 4:30 p.m. on I-40 at the I-95 ramp. The collision involved an SUV and a pickup truck.

Troopers said the driver of the pickup truck was heading east and tried to merge right and struck the SUV. The truck overturned and stopped in the median.
A passenger in the pickup truck, Jarin Brent Cull, died from his injuries. Cull was 56.
The ramp from I-95 southbound to I-40 eastbound was closed for about 90 minutes.
The driver of the truck, a 17-year-old, will be charged with failure to maintain lane control and misdemeanor death by vehicle. The driver, who was taken to WakeMed for injuries, was not identified due to age.
Authorities are working to obtain a search warrant for blood for the driver of the truck.
