Littleton police: Man shot, killed neighbor in the street

According to the Littleton Police Department, officers arrived around 8:55 p.m. on Monday to Little Drive where they found 28-year-old Montrell Devon Everett dead in the street from multiple gunshots.

A man is in jail Tuesday after police in Littleton said he killed his neighbor.

According to the Littleton Police Department, officers were called to a shooting around 8:55 p.m. on Monday on Little Drive.

When they arrived, they found a man, 28-year-old Montrell Devon Everett, dead in the street from multiple gunshots.

Police, along with the State Bureau of Investigation, said during their investigation, they identified 29-year-old Scholar McGlen Jefferson III as a suspect. According to police, Everett and Jefferson were neighbors and lived in the same apartment complex.

Police arrested Jefferson and charged him with murder.

Jefferson is in jail under no bond and is expected to appear in court on Jan. 22, 2026.
