A Harnett County woman, arrested on Saturday and charged with murdering her daughter, made her first court appearance on Monday.

Court records indicate that deputies arrested 45-year-old Victoria Crosby, of Linden, and charged her with murder.

Deputies responded to Rainmaker Street in Linden regarding a domestic dispute between a mother and daughter.

When deputies arrived, they found 23-year-old Tiffany Cossey dead in a car in the driveway.

The initial investigation indicates there had been a verbal and physical altercation between Cossey and her mother, Crosby. During the altercation, police said Crosby shot and killed her daughter.  

In court, Crosby was given $1-million bond and ordered not to have contact with her deceased daughter's boyfriend.

Deputies are still investigating the incident.
