A nearly two-hour standoff outside a home on Chaney Drive in Johnston County ended in a suspected murder-suicide, police said.
A large police presence was seen outside the home around 8:30 p.m. Saturday.

A female caller phoned 911 earlier in the evening and hung up, police said. When authorities called back, a man answered the phone saying that he didn't anything. A woman could be heard in the background asking for help. That's when police went to the home.
When the first deputy arrived on the scene said they reported hearing what they thought was a gunshot.
About eight deputy unites, including an armored truck soon gathered outside of the home.
Just after 11 p.m., authorities entered the home to find the two occupants deceased. No further information was released.
Authorities remained on the scene.
