The last surviving Angus Barn founder has died.

In a post on Facebook, Angus Barn officials said Flo Winston died Monday. Winston co-founded the legendary Raleigh restaurant with Alice and Thad Eure and Charles Winston in June 1960.

Officials called her a “true creative force” who brought “warmth, vision and genuine hospitality to everything she touched.”

She and Charles Winston were both inducted into the Raleigh Hall of Fame in 2011. The two were recognized for their entrepreneurial success and lasting contributions to local charities and the community.

Flags at Angus Barn will be lowered to half-staff in her honor.
