Juvenile shot during argument in parking lot of Moore County shopping center

A juvenile was shot Sunday night during a fight in a shopping center in Moore County.

Around 10 p.m., Aberdeen police officers responded to the parking lot of a shopping center at 11109 U.S. 15-501.

According to police, three males under the age of 18 got into a fight outside the Going, Going, Gone store, in the former Dick's Sporting Goods location.

Aberdeen's police chief said someone pulled out a weapon, and one of them was shot.

The juvenile was airlifted by helicopter to a trauma center with serious injuries. 

Police said a person of interest has been identified, and the incident is isolated.
