Roads reopened after crash in Apex leaves one injured and several without power

Apex, NC, USA — Power has been restored to Apex residents after a car crashed into a power pole on Thursday.

Apex police said the crash happened on South Hughes Street and Apex Peakway. Two cars crashed, and authorities took one person to the hospital. The town did not have an update on the extent of the person's injuries.

Apex police briefly blocked off nearby intersections due to the crash. Troads have since reopened. 

The Apex Electric Department also responded to the scene to put a power pole back up and restore electricity.
