Explosion destroys Fayetteville home, rocks neighborhood

An explosion destroyed a home early Wednesday in the 3300 block of Cumberland Road southwest of Fayetteville, the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office said. Emergency crews responded to the home, which is located between Midan Lane and Camomile Drive, about 1:45 a.m. after a deputy patrolling the area called in the explosion.
