Joel Lane Museum House, 2013

The Joel Lane Museum House ,a fully-furnished 18th century home, is the "Birthplace of North Carolina's Capital" and a heritage site of statewide significance. It was the home of Colonel Joel Lane, a Revolutionary War patriot, who sold 1,000 acres of his land to the state in 1792 for building the capital city, Raleigh. Credit: Facebook
