Police are searching for a suspect in a shooting during a house party on Saturday at an Airbnb in Fayetteville.
According to Fayetteville police, officers were called around 9:04 p.m. Saturday for a shooting at a home on Poplar Drive in Fayetteville. The home, according to police, was an Airbnb property.

During a preliminary investigation, police determined there was a house party on the same block as the home. During the party, police said an altercation broke out and shots were fired, injuring a man and a woman.
The two victims took themselves to Cape Fear Valley Medical and are expected to be OK.
While no one else was injured, police said vehicles and properties along Poplar Drive were also shot.
An Airbnb spokesperson provided a statement about the shooting.
“There is no place for this senseless gun violence on Airbnb and we hope those impacted make a swift recovery,” the spokesperson wrote. “Airbnb has a strict ban on disruptive parties, and we’ve suspended the listing and removed the account of the person who made the booking.
“We are in contact with the Fayetteville Police Department to support [its] investigation.”
The spokesperson said the person who booked the Airbnb reservation did not disclose or have permission to host or have a gathering at the property.
