Three people, including a 7-month-old child, were sent to the hospital after a shooting Tuesday night in Henderson.

According to the Henderson Police Department, officers responded to a report of shots fired around 8:53 p.m. on Wester Avenue. When they arrived, they found two 24-year-olds, a man and a woman, and a 7-month-old infant with gunshot wounds.

Police said a preliminary investigation determined the three were parked in front of a home when a dark-colored SUV pulled alongside their vehicle and started shooting. The SUV then drove away toward East Winder Street.

The woman and infant were taken to the hospital, where both were described as "alert and aware." The man was offered medical attention at the scene, but refused and left the scene shortly after.
