Five girls were injured Thursday afternoon after a golf cart they were riding in turned over and crashed into a car.
According to N.C. State Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 4 p.m. at the intersection of Tuscan Ridge Way and Siena Way, off of N.C. Highway 42.

Troopers on the scene told WRAL the girls were driving the golf cart in a residential neighborhood. The golfcart overturned when trying to avoid hitting a car.
One girl was taken to a nearby hospital. WRAL is working to learn the extent of her injuries.
No charges have been filed.
