Goldsboro police arrested a man on Friday who is suspected of a 1995 homicide in California.
Authorities are holding Jose Manuel Cano Jasso without bond on the fugitive warrant, Goldsboro police said.

Jasso, 52, is also charged with discharging a firearm within city limits and resisting, delaying or obstructing. He received a $5,000 secured bond for those charges.
On Monday in court, public documents show Jasso was appointed an attorney.
On Friday, Goldsboro police responded to North Virginia Street near Ash Street after the ShotSpotter gun detection service detected a gunshot and mapped the location to the rear of the home.
Officers found Jasso holding a handgun behind the home. Police said he ignored officers’ commands and retreated inside the home while still armed. Officers then formed a perimeter around the home.
Police said Jasso eventually left the home and surrendered to officers after about 45 minutes. Officers also recovered the handgun Jasso was holding.
