A 20-year-old driver is now facing new charges in a Garner crash, after one of the passengers in the vehicle died.
Police say Alberto Urieta-Calixto Jr. was at the wheel Friday, March 6, when his car rolled over on Jones Sausage Road. All four people in the vehicle were injured, two seriously.

Police later identified the person who died as Carlton Richardson.
The crash happened just before 10:30 p.m. Friday outside of the Amazon Hub, according to Garner police.
Urieta-Calixto initially faced charges for DWI and drinking underage. On Wednesday, those charges were upgraded, after one person died and a more thorough investigation by police.
Alberto Urieta-Calixto Jr., the 20-year-old driver, was initially charged with driving while impaired (DWI) and consumption of alcohol by a person younger than the age of 21. Urieta-Calixto is also charged with felony death by motor vehicle and felony serious injury by motor vehicle.
Bree Calloway, who heard the crash and rushed to the scene to help while taking a break from her job at a nearby Amazon facility, said those charges seem fair.
“Because that man, he put those people in danger,” Calloway said. “He was very aggressive, you know, and you could smell that he'd been drinking.”
Calloway called 911 after she heard the crash, and stayed with one victim in the median until first responders arrived.
“Trying to make sure she was still responsive. And asking her, can you hear us? If you can hear us, can you squeeze our hand? Can you, you know, flutter your eyes a little bit?” Calloway said . “It's really heartbreaking, like I prayed so much for that young lady and all the other people that were in that vehicle and stuff, and I wanted them to be okay.”
The crash is still under investigation.
