The woman accused of shooting two attorneys last week in downtown Raleigh has a long history of civil disputes, including with former neighbors..
People who lived near Gwendolyn White in Wake County showed WRAL News multiple videos of her outbursts. They said White harassed them and accused them of damaging her home and yard.

“Since you want to talk to me, I’m going to make sure I put your white a** in jail,” White said in one of the videos.
The outbursts against the family came after White filed a civil lawsuit against them in 2021.
“You lying [expletive],” White said. “You broke [expletive]. You keep on doing [expletive].”
The neighbor replied, “We have never done anything ever.”
“Yes you did,” White said. “You’re the one telling your friends to come and destroy my [expletive].”
Police were called to the Wake County neighborhood in one instance. Neighbors wrote in court documents that White said, “Do you want me to shoot you?”
The former neighbors said it was not the first time White threatened to shoot the family. They ended up getting a restraining order against White. It required White to sell her home that was already under contract, stop posting about the family online and required her to undergo a mental health evaluation.
The results of White’s 2022 mental health evaluation were not publicly released.
Last Friday, White was shouting before she left the courtroom where her case against the Rolesville Police Department was being heard.
“I’m not dropping it,” a woman is heard shouting in a courtroom recording. “I’m going completely after you, all the way up to the top. I promise you that. And I’m going to get her. See ya!”
White’s request for body camera footage from Rolesville police is what brought her to court last week.
After she left the hearing, police say, she shot at attorneys Mary Harris and Jefferey Whitley, of the law firm Fox Rothschild, who were representing Rolesville in the case.
The two attorneys were shot as they left the building.
White faces two charges of attempted murder. Authorities are holding her without bond.
White has a disposition hearing scheduled for June 15.
