Police: Man killed, another hospitalized in Fayetteville shooting that happened because of a fight

One man was killed and another hospitalized after a shooting in Fayetteville overnight. 

Police say they found two people suffering from gunshot wounds just after midnight near the intersection of Tangora Lane near McDougal Drive.  

Fayetteville police said Tuesday that 23-year-old  Tykese Aerian McFayden died at the scene. The other man was taken to the hospital but is expected to survive. 

Police determined that an altercation happened between people who knew each other and then ended in the fatal shooting of McFayden. This remains an active investigation.
