A fatal crash involving an overturned dump truck happened on Covered Bridge Road near Archer Lodge in Johnston County, according to State Highway Patrol.

Covered Bridge Road between Carsons Creek Trail and Prestwood Lane was closed in both directions as troopers investigate. As of 1:20 p.m., the road fully reopened and the scene was cleared.
