A man is in the hospital on Sunday after police say he was shot at a Durham intersection.

According to the Durham Police Department, officers were called to a shooting around 9:46 p.m. near the intersection of Chapel Hill Road and Anderson Street. When they arrived, they found a man with gunshot wounds inside a vehicle.

Police said the man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police looked at nearby homes for any damage.

Officers in a release said their investigation is ongoing and asked anyone with information related to the shooting to contact CrimeStoppers online or by calling 919-683-1200.
