A man was seriously injured after he was shot during a drive by shooting in Durham.
Police said officers were called just after 3 p.m. on Wednesday for reports of shots fired along East Main Street.

When police arrived, officers said they found the man who had been shot. He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
WRAL’s Sky 5 flew over a home where officers were seen along East Main Street and Angier Avenue.
Neighbors nearby described the shooting as traumatic.
"It really upsets me,” said Charlitta Burruss, a Durham resident. “I'm a grandmother and I can't even, I can't even let my grandson come over here. That's bad."
It’s a situation where people living in the community said are all too familiar.
“We want to be safe,” Burruss said.
One neighbor told WRAL News she was sitting on her front porch when shots rang out and calls it a miracle that she and kids playing outside did not get hit.
Having lived in the neighborhood for decades Burruss says it is time for change. She's tired of seeing blood shed on her street.
“I hope he makes it,” Burruss said. “I hope he's OK. I hope that if there is a score to solve or whatever they're trying to do that, it gets solved more peacefully than putting up gods. Because guns don't solve anything. Taking someone's life doesn't solve a thing."
Durham police have not released any information about a possible suspect. The investigation is still ongoing.
