Sheriff's office: Driver arrested for going 103 MPH while intoxicated on US 70 during snow

A woman faces multiple charges after she was pulled over along Highway 70 near Princeton on Saturday for excessively speeding while intoxicated, according to the Johnston County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies arrested 24-year-old Kierra Taylor after she was accused of driving at speeds of 103 MPH as it snowed on Highway 70 near Princeton. 

Arrest warrants also said she was driving with a blood alcohol content level of .33.

Additionally, there was an unrestrained 1-year-old in the car, authorities said.

A family member came to pick up the child, deputies said.

Taylor was charged with driving while impaired, speeding, reckless driving and misdemeanor child abuse. She is being held on a $2,500 bond and is expected back in court on Tuesday, March 10, at 8:45 a.m.
