Hi, everyone. Meteorologist Anthony Bag Leone here in the W R L severe Weather center certainly been a messy end to the weekend and we are going to continue those chances for some showers and storms as we head into the start of our upcoming work week into Monday morning. Here's where we sit right now. There's the rain on satellite and radar. It's been with us here through the weekend and we're going to continue those chances into tonight and tomorrow morning Mainly as we head to about, let's say 1-2 am. It's going to be the start of this next batch showers and storms, non severe storms. We're not expecting any concerns as far as that is concerned. Here tomorrow morning, there is four am. We see those off and on showers and storms by the Monday morning, commute itself. I think future cast is just a tad underdone with the coverage. It's showing us pretty much dry at that point. I'd still plan for just a couple of showers here to start tomorrow morning, but most of this is going to fall here while we are sleeping tonight. We had up until about lunchtime looking good. It will be partly to mostly cloudy during the day. Tomorrow. Heading into the early afternoon, a few showers again, pushed through by about 2 to 3 PM and we had up until tomorrow evening's commute and we're looking pretty good into tonight tomorrow morning, we'll be in the upper fifties, low sixties, just plan for those showers. It's gonna be good sleeping weather. If you hear the rain on your window, it's gonna be great. And then into tomorrow, we'll call it scattered showers and storms. It's going to be another warm day though, high temperatures near 80 and then at 80 or a little bit above for our southern areas, most of us from the triangle to the north will be near that 80 degree mark over the next seven days. Here's what we're looking at still warm here tomorrow. But then we do see some relatively cooler weather back where we should be for this time of year on Tuesday and Wednesday, Tuesday night, there is another system that could bring a few showers mainly from the triangle to the north. Then tons of sunshine Thursday is going to be a beautiful day. We will be at 70 and then another big time warmup into next weekend at 84 on Saturday and just isolated chances of some showers on Friday night into Saturday. So for the most part, once we get past the rain tonight, looking fairly drier, at least here into this upcoming week.

One little girl and the swift actions of a group with a shared goal helped to save a giant pacific octopus in Washington state.

Like it might be ready to try to make a break for it. Swift action taken by a group of people with one mission, getting this giant Pacific octopus back in the water. They can't survive out of water for more than several minutes. It collapses their gills. That's Annie England with the Padilla Bay Reserve. She got a call from the ranger at Bayview State Park in Mount Vernon last Wednesday about an octopus stranded on the beach anticipating finding such an alive, healthy octopus. England credits a little girl who was visiting the beach with her family for keeping the octopus alive. She was taking water with her little sand bucket and she was filling it up and she was pouring it on top of the octopus. England says the actions taken by that little girl is the best thing you can do. If you ever encounter an octopus out of the water, we would never encourage the public to try to move an octopus or touch it. Um But definitely pouring water on it and calling a local aquarium or uh organization that you know, works with marine animals. She says finding an octopus alive out of the water is not common and says this is the first octopus rescue she and her team has ever done. We had to be very conscientious of where we are putting our, our hands. Um while we are moving the octopus, uh thankfully, we were able to get it into the bin. Uh And then we were able to drag it out octopus rescue. England says she's relieved the mission was a success and hopes the octopus doesn't have to ever experience something like this again. Feeling her way out.
