Man seriously injured in Wake Forest stabbing on South Franklin Street

A man was seriously injured Saturday night in Wake Forest after a stabbing on South Franklin Street.

Around 9 p.m., officers responded to the 300 block of South Franklin Street. A man was transported to the hospital with serious injuries but is expected to recover.

Police arrested Timothy Ray Walker, 58, Raleigh. Walker was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury with intent to kill.

An investigation is ongoing.
