Man dead after drowning at a lake in Cary, police say

Cary police said a man is dead after he drowned in a lake on Saturday. 

Officers were called around 2 p.m. to MacGregor Downs Lake to reports of a person in the water. 

When officers arrived, police said they were able to locate the man. He was recovered from the water and was later pronounced dead. 

Officers have not identified the man who died. The investigation is still ongoing.
