A Spectrum worker remains in critical condition Monday after getting hit by a car over the weekend in Cary.
Around 10:20 p.m. Saturday, officers were called to a crash at the intersection of Kit Creek Road and Green Level Church Road.

Police said a Spectrum truck was pulled over on the side of the road to complete a job when the worker was hit by a car.
WRAL’s Breaking News Tracker was on the scene and saw police take one person into custody.
Juanita Ramirez was charged with felony DWI and failure to yield.

“This is going to be a worker at a construction site standing next to his vehicle that was struck by a passerby.”
"You’ve got a 38-year-old male, he is conscious and breathing, he is not oriented or fully alert, he can give us a name and that’s about it, he’s having extreme pain in his lower back, not able to move his legs very well."
A spokesperson from Spectrum released the following statement:
"Last night, one of our field maintenance managers was struck while working to repair a fiber cut in Cary. We are working with the Cary Police Department as they conduct their investigation. Our thoughts are with our employee and his loved ones during this difficult time."Spectrum spokesperson
WRAL News is working to learn the name of the Spectrum worker. Cary police said the investigation is still ongoing.
