Authorities on Tuesday said a two-vehicle accident led to one of them hitting the side of a WakeMed hospital building.

According to a WakeMed spokesperson, the accident happened around 8:15 p.m. at the hospital's main entrance building (E-tower) off New Bern Ave in Raleigh.

Two people are being treated for minor injuries, the spokesperson said.

Video from the WRAL Breaking News Tracker showed a black sedan against the structure with heavy front and rear end damage.

Crews from the Raleigh Police Department, WakeMed Campus Police & Public Safety Department and Wake EMS all responded to the scene.

The entrance to the E-tower is temporarily closed as crews investigate the damage, the WakeMed spokesperson told WRAL. 

Hospital operations were not impacted. 

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
