A Raleigh business owner is once again dealing with damage after a car slammed into his storefront for the third time in less than a decade.
Carolina Kettle, located on Hillsborough Street, was hit overnight, leaving owner Josh Monahan stunned when he arrived the next morning.

"We had not been notified overnight, and so this was just an odd thing to walk up to on Monday morning," said Monahan.
Raleigh Police say no one was injured in the crash, but investigators have no leads on the driver or the vehicle involved.
WRAL reported about Carolina Kettle's opening in 2017. Monahan, a North Carolina State University graduate, opened the retail snack store to create a central location to sell the chips and feed the hungry. A donation is made to the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina every time a bag is sold.
For Monahan, the timing makes the situation even more frustrating. He says the family-owned business had only recently reopened after recovering from a previous crash.
"We were finally letting people know that we are back open and we’re still here, and then this happened," said Monahan.
After the last incident, the business installed protective pylons outside the building, an investment Monaham believes made a critical difference this time.
“Thankfully, these were here after the last wreck and slowed the car down a bit. I think otherwise the car would be in the building again like last time," said Monahan.
He says he doesn’t know why his business continues to be targeted by these crashes, but he’s urging drivers to slow down and calling for additional safety measures at what he describes as a dangerous intersection.
