Man shot during armed robbery at Durham auto repair shop

A man was shot Friday during an armed robbery at an auto repair shop in Durham.

Around 2 a.m., officers with the Durham Police Department responded to a shooting at the Mavis Tires and Brakes in the 2700 block of Hillsborough Road.

Officers found a man with a non-life-threatening gunshot injuries at the scene. He was transported to a local hospital.

Several hours later, three police cars were still at the scene, and the officers appeared to focus their investigation on the business's office area.

Crime scene tape surrounded the car garage, and forensics teams were on scene.

WRAL News is working to learn if anyone was injured and if arrests were made.
