Wife charged with murder of 66-year-old husband in Hope Mills

A woman is charged with the murder of her 66-year-old husband, Hope Mills police said.

Officers found Donald Roy Rutkowski dead during a wellness check around 10:30 a.m. Sunday at Islandview Drive near Walkabout Road in Hope Mills.

The Baltimore County Police Department arrested Tammy Lynn Rutkowski. Police charged the 61-year-old woman with first-degree murder. Authorities are holding her without bond.

Hope Mills police said Donald Rutkowski and Tammy Rutkowski were married.

The investigation is ongoing.
