21-year-old killed in shooting, Goldsboro police investigating

One man is dead after a shooting Tuesday morning in Goldsboro, police said.

Goldsboro police responded to a shots fired call in the 600 block of W. Chestnut Street just after 3:30 a.m., according to the Goldsboro Police Department.

When officers arrived, they found 21-year-old, Terryon Davis of Goldsboro, shot.

Davis was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

WRAL is working to learn the circumstances surround the shooting and if any arrests have been made.

The shooting is under investigation.
