Sanford 19-year-old charged with murder in weekend shooting

A 19-year-old is charged with the murder of another man in Sanford.

Deshon James Smith, 19, turned himself in Monday night just days after a deadly weekend shooting, according to the Sanford Police Department.

Smith is charged with the murder of Jabar Rajahnik Griffin, who was shot and killed on Saturday, according to police.

Smith, who is being held without bond, was scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
