Scotland Neck police are investigating the death of a 53-year-old New York man who was shot and killed Tuesday night on 16th Street.

SCOTLAND NECK, N.C. — Scotland Neck police are investigating the death of a 53-year-old New York man who was shot and killed Tuesday night on 16th Street.
According to investigators, Anthony Johnson was sitting in a car when he was shot at about 10:30 p.m. He died from his wounds at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.
Johnson has family in the Scotland Neck area and visited often, police said.
Nobody has been arrested in the case, and no other information about the shooting has been released.
