Members of the Wake County Board of Commissioners were briefed Monday afternoon on three possible locations for the proposed airport.

<b>WAKE</b> — An idea to build a new airport in eastern Wake County is taking off.

Two sites are directly north of Wendell and south of U.S. Highway 64. The other alternative is north of Zebulon and U.S. Highway 64.

Federal and state funding may be available to help offset the estimated $50 million to $60 million price tag.
