New splash pad gives Fayetteville another option for free summer fun

Fayetteville’s newest splash pad – the city's 12th – opened Tuesday at 1455 Hoke Loop Road, outside Lake Rim Recreation Center.

The Kiwanis Club of Cape Fear donated $20,000 to construct the newest splash pad, which is accessible with a zero-depth entry and uses recycled water.

Fayetteville's 12 splash pads are open May 1 through Sept. 30, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 2 to 6 p.m. on Sundays. All are free to enjoy.
