FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Starting Monday, Fort Bragg will step up its security measures.

In the past, private contractors were issued temporary vehicle passes to facilitate their access to the post. Those passes are now voided and most contractors will have to show identification before getting on post.

Officials said the changes are part of a plan to monitor civilian traffic and change access for non-military personnel.
