The newest Publix supermarket in Raleigh will be opening on Wednesday, September 2!
The store is located at 417 W Peace St. in Raleigh, NC and has a designated parking deck below the store for Publix customers. It is approximately 45,000 sq. ft. and employs about 130 associates.
The grand opening is scheduled for Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at 7 a.m.
The new store offers all of their traditional departments including Publix Deli, scratch bakery, fresh produce, meat & seafood departments and a wide variety of prepared foods.
Publix has suspended sampling and most giveaways for their store openings, but customers will receive a reusable bag at check-out while supplies last.
During the ongoing pandemic, new store openings have avoided anything that would draw large crowds such as giveaways and free sampling. See the Publix website for information regarding the safety & sanitation measures being taken in all stores.
The new store on Peace Street is good news for the Downtown Raleigh area, which has a limited number of grocery stores.
Publix opened their first Triangle location in October 2014 at 1020 Bradford Plaza Way in Cary.
The next Publix coming to the area will be in Clayton, NC at 24 Publix Dr. According to the Publix website, the store will be located at Marketplace at Flowers and is "coming soon."
