New movies this weekend: Transcendence, Bears

RALEIGH, N.C. — Here's a look at the new movies hitting the theaters this weekend: 

Bears (Documentary, G, Release date: Friday, April 18): In an epic story of breathtaking scale, Disneynature's new True Life Adventure "Bears" showcases a year in the life of two mother bears as they impart life lessons to their impressionable young cubs. 

Heaven is for Real (Drama, PG, Release date: Wednesday, April 16): Todd and Sonja Burpo are a real-life couple whose son Colton claims to have visited Heaven during a near death experience. 

Transcendence (SciFi/Fantasy/Suspense, PG-13, Release date: Friday, April 18): Dr. Will Caster is the foremost researcher in the field of Artificial Intelligence. His highly controversial experiments have made him famous, but they have also made him the prime target of anti-technology extremists who will do whatever it takes to stop him.
