Lidl's tenth Triangle-area food market opened in Apex on Wednesday, Feb. 10 with one of the first grand opening celebrations since the start of the pandemic.
The store is located at 670 Grand Central Station, Apex, NC and the hours are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday-Sunday.
The grand opening event included a brief ribbon cutting in front of the store at 7:40 a.m. The store opened at 8 am.
At the
Apex grand opening, there will be "get-them-while-you-can grand opening special offers" according to a company statement. According to the ad for the store, there will be special sales for 4 weeks after the opening. See the

In addition, the first 100 customers will receive a Lidl gift card ranging from $5 to $100 each. Shoppers will also be able to enter to win a $500 Lidl gift card and special giveaways and there is a tote bag giveaway with myLidl app download.
This is the first grocery store in the area to have a grand opening event with a gift card giveaway during the pandemic. The grand opening activities will be held outside and customers will be required to maintain a six foot distance while waiting for the store to open. There will be chalk marks at 6-foot intervals and they will be actively monitoring the required distancing. The amount of customers in the store will be limited as well.
