New consignment sale planned in north Raleigh
A husband and wife are starting Good 2 Grow, incorporating the best experiences from shopping and selling at other sales.
Posted — UpdatedLots of new consignment sales this year ...
Sarah and Mike Thompson, a husband and wife, are starting the sale. The couple has shopped and sold items at consignment sales for their own kids, a son, 7, and a daughter, 5. They were hooked when Sarah found a great deal on a Bass crib that looked brand new.
"That crib held up nicely for both of our children and was still in great shape when we consigned it four years later," Mike Thompson tells me. "Shopping and selling at consignment sales has really been a no brainer that has allowed us to make the most of our money while providing for our kids."
Mike tells me that he and his wife have always been entrepreneurial. And they both recognize that if there was ever a time when people wanted to save money, it would be now. Good 2 Grow, he says, will incorporate their best experiences from shopping and selling at consignment sales.
To help make things a little easier for consignors, the sale is offering a tagging service, a tagging party, tagging kits and prize for one in every 10 consignors.
And on Aug. 27, shoppers who bring in 10 cans of food or jars of peanut butter will receive a $5 credit at the sale.
The sale is open to the public 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 26; 9 a.m .to 8 p.m. Aug. 27; and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Aug. 28 when some items are half off. Consignors and volunteers can shop early.
