Raleigh, N.C. — The state is taking measures to make the state government complex a little safer.
State Capitol police installed five emergency call boxes. The red boxes feature a 360-degree video surveillance system, which allows police to monitor the area around the call box when activated.
The project was funded by a $35,000 grant from the Department of Homeland Security.
