Neighbors wonder if man's ban is related to missing Holly Springs mom

"I hadn't seen the car, or her, or her kids. So, it's been a few months," said Shelley Kimball.

On Tuesday, neighbors found out Monica Moynan is missing. The mother of two was last seen in Holly Springs in March. She is 5-foot-1 and around 115 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

A Facebook page claiming to be that of Moynan's mother, Melanie Day Tucker, said Moynan is 23 years old. Tucker also wrote she believes a male friend or acquaintance was texting her last month pretending to be Moynan. Police have not confirmed this to WRAL News.

Residents were given a notice from police with the photo of a man on it who was often seen with Moynan. The notice says he is banned from the property.

"It you see him on the property, call the Holly Springs Police Department," it says.

Residents are now concerned.

"You get a notice on your door and there's a picture of a person who cannot come to the property anymore, but you don't say why," Kimball said.

Police said they are working the case but will not say if foul play is suspected. Moynan's family said they haven't see her since March.

"You've got to be kidding me, we're like in August," Yvonne Law said.

Moynan's mother said she is a hardworking business woman who sells her own elderberry syrup.

Friends near and far said they are scared for their loved ones.

"I'm just really scared for her and the babies," said Brittany Buchanan. "She's probably like one of the sweetest people I know...she's just genuinely a really kind person."
