Neighbors on alert after shooting outside Dunn home
One person was shot in Dunn on Wednesday night.
Posted — UpdatedThe shooting happened around 8:30 p.m. at 205 North Washington Ave., across from the Dunn Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.
The person's condition was not immediately known. Police did not release any information on a suspect or motive in the shooting.
A man who lived nearby told WRAL News another man was shot as he walked in the darkness between the two homes.
“I was in my house when I heard the gunshots,” said the man, who didn't want to be identified. “Things like this don’t happen around here."
The condition of the victim wasn't confirmed.
An investigation is underway.
