RALEIGH, N.C. — This fall, the North Carolina Museum of Art will stream four live concerts from inside museum galleries.

The museum usually hosts a popular outdoor summer concert series, but it was canceled due to coronavirus concerns.

"Offstage Live: Music at the Museum" will kick off with Chatham County Line on Sept. 1 at 8 p.m.

"We have updated our beloved summer concert series to be a unique experience that people around the state, and even the world, can enjoy from the comfort and safety of their own homes,” North Carolina Museum of Art Director Valerie Hillings said. "With the great partnerships of UNC-TV and Come Hear NC, we will continue to bring art to the people of North Carolina and beyond in innovative ways."

All shows will be streamed on NCMA’s YouTube channel. To help support each artist, broadcasts will include PayPal or Venmo links for viewers to donate to that night's performer.

The concert schedule (All shows start at 8 p.m.):

  • Tuesday, Sept. 1: Chatham County Line
  • Tuesday, Sept. 15: Dreamroot
  • Tuesday, Sept. 29: S.E. Ward
  • Tuesday, Oct. 20: Diali Cissokho & Kaira Ba
