RALEIGH, N.C. — The North Carolina State University Police Department received a report of a rape that happened this week at a residence hall.

University police said it happened Tuesday at Bragaw Hall.

The man who committed the alleged rape is not affiliated with the university, police said.

University police's Friday wolf alert said they have not caught the man accused of committing the rape, and they have only a vague description of him.

On Friday, NC State students provided their reactions to the reported rape.

"The dorms, like, the entrance to the suites, they are outside, and from [noon] to [midnight], anyone can get through this dorm for the [Bragaw] C-Store," said freshman Madalynn Rola. "Again, the suites are locked, so yeah, it’s just terrifying to think of.”

“As a student going here for several years, I mean, have had a few instances that were kind of concerning in the past, but I feel like NC State is still a generally safe campus," said junior Ryan Proud. "I felt pretty safe walking around, in general."
