We're going to head to 77 degrees for this afternoon. Tomorrow is going to be a little bit warmer with a high of 79. And while we are going to see a lot of clouds around today, we could get some pockets of sunshine to move through a little bit more sunshine will take over tomorrow and that will help us warm up to 79 degrees. So we have this high pressure system that's going to continue to build into our region that is going to continue to promote lovely conditions, not only for today, but we'll see that into next week. With this high pressure system building, we are going to see dry conditions. So the clouds will be around today. We have a coastal low that will feed in some of the cloud cover. But with our high pressure system out west, that is going to help us stay dry. We are going to see quiet conditions tonight and then tomorrow expect much of the same with clouds around. We could see some pockets of sunshine move through. Temperatures for today will climb into the seventies making it to 74 degrees around the lunch hour, 77 for the afternoon high. And then this evening, we have temperatures cooling off into the sixties. If you are heading out to the Notre Dame at Duke game, I know it is going to be one of those game days out there in Durham. We have temperatures in the seventies for much of the day. So tailgating is going to be amazing by kick off. We expect a temperature of 73 and then throughout the game, temperatures will cool into the sixties. So it will be nice if you can grab a nice sweatshirt, sitting out in the stands. If you're heading out to the North Carolina Mountains expect temperatures to range in the seventies and the eighties over the weekend, we're going to see a lot of cloud cover there. It's going to be very similar to the forecast here locally, but they are starting to see a little color on the trees. We typically see peak fall colors across the North Carolina Mountains around mid to late October for the triangle and areas outlined in that yellow shading. We typically see that around early November and then mid November for the sand hills. So we are starting to get into that fall like feel where we have some color changing. And we also have temperatures in the seventies and the eighties and get this as we head into October seventh through the 13th, temperatures are trending below normal. So it's going to get even cooler here as we head into the middle of October, that will not only help some of the colors to change, but it will also put us into that feel with fall like weather. So temperatures in the seventies today getting to 82 degrees by Monday ranging in the seventies and the eighties for the rest of the week with rain chances staying out.
