THIS EXHIBIT REALLY SHOWCASES ARTIFACTS STORIES, INTERVIEWS. SONGWRITING LYRICS, PROPS, JUST SO MUCH STUFF THAT REALLY KIND OF TELLS A STORY AND HIGHLIGHTS THESE WOMEN THROUGHOUT COUNTRY MUSIC HISTORY. THE EARLY WOMEN LIKE SARAH MAYBELLE CARTER AND THEY'RE JUST SUPER. THEY'RE EXTREMELY INFLUENTIAL. AND THE COUNTRY MUSIC GENRE INSPIRED SO MANY WOMEN AND MEN AFTER THEM. >> ROSE MATIC. SO A LOT OF PEOPLE PROBABLY HAVE NEVER HEARD OF. AND SHE REALLY I'VE HELPED PUSH AND THE TONK GENRE >> SO MANY DRESSES AND SO MANY INSTRUMENTS. AND THAT'S ANOTHER THING IS LIKE YOU'RE NOT ONLY GOING TO SEE REALLY BEAUTIFUL GOWNS AND DRESSES AND OUTFITS IN 6 A BIT. THERE'S ALSO A LOT OF INSTRUMENTS. WE ALSO HAVE AN INTERACTIVE THAT ALLOWS VISITORS TO YOU AND HEAR A VARIETY OF TRADITIONAL COUNTRY MUSIC INSTRUMENTS LIKE THE FIDDLE AND MANDOLIN AND THE AUTO FAR VISITORS CAN COME AND TOUCH THESE INSTRUMENTS AND HERE. BUT THEY SOUND LIKE SO IT'S A REALLY FUN AND POPULAR FANS OF TAYLOR SWIFT WILL DEFINITELY BE HAPPY TO SEE A VARIETY OF DIFFERENT COSTUMES AND HELP US ADDRESS IS THAT SHE'S WORN. WE HAVE THIS REPLICA CAP AND THAT SHE PERFORMED ON. AND AND THE 2020 GRAMMY AWARDS. AND IT'S A IT'S A REALLY BEAUTIFUL MOMENT. WE HAVE HEARD THE DRESS THAT SHE WORE FOR THE PERFORMANCE. WELL, SO I KNOW THOSE 50 FANS OUT THERE WILL BE REALLY EXCITED TO SEE THIS. WE WERE ABLE TO ADD OUR OWN LITTLE SPECIAL SECTION THAT REALLY FOCUSES ON NORTH CAROLINA'S CONNECTION TO COUNTRY MUSIC AND HISTORY. WE ALSO HAVE A FROM MYRTLE COOPER WISEMAN, OFTEN AS LOUISVILLE HAS CALLED HAVE I TOLD YOU LATELY THAT I LOVE YOU AND IT WAS ACTUALLY, YOU KNOW, THE CREDIT RATING CREDIT IS FOR HER TO HER HUSBAND, SCOTT WISEMAN. BUT THE LEGEND HAS IT IS THAT WHEN SCOTT WAS IN THE HOSPITAL AND MYRTLE WENT TO HIM AND WHISPERED IN HIS EAR, HAVE I TOLD YOU LATELY THAT I LOVE YOU? AND SO THAT INSPIRED HIM TO WRITE THE SONGS. WE HAVE SOME BOOTS THAT ANYONE HERE HAS MORE ON HER, KENTUCKY ALBUM RELEASED AND MY SON 79, THAT WAS LIKE A REALLY, REALLY INTERESTING ALBUM BECAUSE OF THAT TIME. A RECORD ALBUM WANTED FOR HER TO GET MORE POP. AND SHE WANTED TO STICK EVEN MORE BLUEGRASS. A COUNTRY STYLE. WE ALSO HAVE IN THE SECTION THE MICROPHONE THAT WE SEE PALMER USE FOR HER ORIGINAL PODCAST FOR MY COUNTRY. SO THIS IS SUCH A AN IMPORTANT PODCAST AS SHE CONTINUES REPORTING BECAUSE IT REALLY DOES FOCUS ON THOSE KIND OF UNTOLD STORIES THROUGHOUT COUNTRY MUSIC HISTORY AND SHE BASE THAT PODCAST TITLE ON THE ALBUM. BUT BY LINDA MARTELL, WHO WAS ACTUALLY THE FIRST AFRICAN-AMERICAN WOMAN TO FOR FORMER THE GRAND OLE OPRY. PART OF THE POWER OF WOMEN IN COUNTRY MUSIC EXHIBIT IS THE SOUTHERN SANGRES CONCERT SERIES THAT HIGHLIGHTS CONTEMPORARY ARTISTS. THEY'RE LOCALS, NORTH CAROLINA. ALL THESE WOMEN REPRESENT DIFFERENT VOICES WITHIN THE GENRE AND ARE BREAKING THROUGH BARRIERS THAT ARE CREATED LONG AGO EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM IS VERY INVOLVED IN THEIR COMMUNITY. AND THIS EXHIBIT REALLY IS ABOUT WOMEN BEING STRONG TOGETHER. AND I THINK THE BIG CONCERT SERIES REALLY AMPLIFIED THAT MESSAGE. EVEN IF YOU'RE NOT A FAN OF COUNTRY MUSIC, THERE'S REALLY SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE IN THE 6 A BIT BECAUSE THE COUNTRY MUSIC, A LOT OF THESE ARTISTS CROSS OVER INTO THE BLUEGRASS AND GOSPEL AND TO POP INTO ROCKS. <p>I'm meteorologist K Campbell in the wr a severe weather center here with your mother. Stay forecast. It looks absolutely beautiful. On Sunday, humidity will be low. Temperatures will be comfortable and we've got a nice dry day with just some passing puffy cumulus clouds. 76 for the high on Mother's Day in Roxboro, 78 in Durham, 79 Raleigh 78 in Rocky Mount and back up in the lower eighties in Southern Pines in Fayetteville. It's partly cloudy with a bit more sunshine in morning. If you're doing a Mother's Day brunch, it should be around the low to mid sixties at that time. By lunchtime, we're warming up 72 partly cloudy and mid seventies for dinner time temperatures. Now, depending on how much rain you saw last week, you may need to pick back up on some watering for your garden. I don't need to at my house with the rain we saw, but we do have a dry forecast for Sunday and Monday as we get into next week, we should see more rain return to the forecast. It looks like a pretty unsettled middle part next week. We even have a chance for some scattered showers lingering through about 2 a.m. in our southern counties. This is not just going to bring the chance of a quick passing shower tonight but also quite a bit of cloud cover into the area. So about 75% of the sky is going to be covered by clouds. 11 p.m. midnight, more clouds than clear sky by 1 a.m. that starts to back off by 2:03 a.m. here in the triangle especially. And this is really relevant because we do have another chance to see the northern lights tonight. I don't think skies will begin to clear until between midnight and 2 a.m. So it would really be after that, that we would have the best shot at seeing the northern lights. Here's the thing though, the maximum of that solar storm is going to have to align perfectly with the time when our skies begin to clear out. There's no guarantee that will happen, but it is possible. It is a similar forecast intensity for the geomagnetic storm to what we saw last night. Be sure to let your eyes adjust. You can't just walk out. I look to the north and expect to instantly see it. You need to be patient, sit outside, let your eyes adjust. Could look something like this. This is what was seen in a Wade by Richard last night. Really cool stuff for your seven day forecast. We've got a nice couple of days ahead and then we've got more storms in the forecast by Tuesday and Wednesday. Tuesday storm chances up to 70%. There's a chance we could get a break from rain chances Thursday and then storm chances are back in a more scattered fashion for the end of next week.</p>
