NC murder suspect on the run, considered armed and dangerous
A North Carolina man is on the run after police said he shot and killed a 38-year-old woman on Sept. 23.
Posted — UpdatedPolice said Timothy Lavon Laster Jr., 28, from Elizabeth City, is wanted for murder.
Officers found Erin Gibbs, also from Elizabeth City, suffering from a gunshot wound near the 500 block of West Grice Street. She was airlifted to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where she later died from her injuries.
Laster is considered armed and dangerous, police said.
He is the second man to be charged in Gibbs' murder. Derontre Rashad Bell, 29, from Elizabeth City, was arrested and charged with murder on Sept. 30, according to the police department.
