NC launches 'Find my Vaccine Group' quiz

The Find My Vaccine Group tool asks users a series of short questions.

RALEIGH, N.C. — North Carolina has launched an online quiz that helps people determine which vaccine group they are in based on age, profession and health status.
The Find My Vaccine Group tool asks users a series of short questions. In less than two minutes, people seeking a vaccine can get an idea of when they will be vaccinated.

North Carolina is currently in Phase 1 and Phase 2, vaccinating healthcare workers, residents and staff of long-term care facilities and seniors 65 and older. In Phase 3, a large group of frontline essential workers, such as first responders, educators, food and agriculture workers, manufacturers, corrections workers, U.S. Postal service workers, public transit workers and grocery store workers, will be eligible.

It will likely be months before other groups can get the vaccine.

People with increased risk for illness, including those with high blood pressure, diabetes and obesity and those who are pregnant, fall into Phase 4 if they aren't seniors or essential workers.

Once people find their group, they can then sign up to be notified when their group can be vaccinated.
