NC couple brings spirit of Hawaii to their yard with beautiful mural celebrating 66 years of marriage
An couple celebrating their 66th wedding anniversary loves visiting Hawaii -- but their trip was canceled this year due to the pandemic. So the family brought the spirit of Hawaii to North Carolina by painting a tropical mural and creating a little piece of paradise in their own yard.

I DID THE YELLOW FLOWERS AT THE BOTTOM. I PUT MY MOTHER AND FATHER'S INITIAL INTO THE TREE WITH A HEART. >> Reporter: THEY'RE FROM RALEIGH AND LOVE HAWAII. >> BEEN ABOUT A DOZEN TIMES. >> A LITTLE PARADISE WITH A LOT OF LAUGHTER AND LOVE. THEY'RE THE SWEETEST COUPLE I'VE EVER SEEN, ALWAYS WALKING ON THE BEACH AND HOLDING HANDS. >> EVERY ONE OF THEM HAD A HAND IN IT. >> Reporter: EVERY ONE OF THEIR FOUR CHILDREN, WHO PAINTED AND PERFECTED. >> NONE OF US ARE ARTISTS. >> WE REALLY EXPERIENCED TOGETHERNESS IN THIS PROJECT. >> Reporter: MOM AND DAD, CHILDREN, GRANDCHILDREN, AND GREAT GRANDCHILDREN. THEY COULDN'T GO TO HAWAII THIS YEAR, AND WON'T THE SUNSET ON THIS TUMULTUOUS YEAR. >> IN THE MIDDLE OF PANDEMIC, THE HATE IN THE WORLD, I THINK WE HAVE CREATED A LITTLE PARADISE. >> WHAT DO YOU THINK IT MEANS TO YOUR PARENTS? >> I THINK THAT IT MEANS A LOT AND I HOPE IT DOES.
