NC By Train offers rides between Raleigh, Charlotte for just $1 for two days in May

The 150th anniversary of the historic Transcontinental Railroad is May 10 and, to celebrate, NC By Train is offering passengers the opportunity to ride the train between Raleigh and Charlotte for just $1 each way on May 10 to May 11.

The 150th anniversary of the historic Transcontinental Railroad is May 10 and, to celebrate, NC By Train is offering passengers the opportunity to ride the train between Raleigh and Charlotte for just $1 each way on May 10 to May 11.

The state’s passenger rail service has eight daily train trips and also serves the northeast. This could be a really fun opportunity for families with kids who absolutely love trains.

How do you get tickets for these $1 rides?

Go to NCByTrain.org and enter promotion code V335.

It's valid ONLY for travel from May 10 to May 11 on trains 73, 74, 75, 76, 77 and 78. Limited seating is available.

All passengers, including children and seniors, must be listed as an adult when purchasing tickets.

Where can you go?

In Greensboro, you could head to the Greensboro Science Center or Greensboro Children's Museum.
In Charlotte, there's the Discovery Place science museum or NASCAR Hall of Fame.

In Kannapolis, National Train Day is May 11 at Village Park.
