NC A&T student killed in off-campus shooting

The Greensboro Police Department responded to a home along Hewitt Street, about 15 minutes from the university, before 8:15 p.m. in response to an aggravated assault, WXII reports.

When police arrived, they found Michael Ryan Bowie, a senior civil engineering major from Philadelphia, suffering from a gunshot wound.

Bowie was transported to a local hospital, where he died.
